It knows when not to A/B test.
A brand-new site with forty weekly visitors cannot run an informative experiment — so pushing CRO tests at it just burns attention. Flight Path scores every site on a continuous Traffic↔CRO axis and routes the work: chase traffic when the site is too quiet to test, optimize conversions the moment it is ready.
Every other tool assumes you already have the traffic to test.
Run an A/B test on a page with a handful of weekly visitors and it never reaches significance — you wait a month to learn nothing. Most optimization platforms hand low-traffic sites the same CRO checklist they give a site doing a million sessions. Flight Path is the layer that sits upstream of every recommendation and asks the question they skip: is this site actually ready to optimize, or does it need more traffic first?
One score decides what Optimize Pilot works on next.
Score the site
Flight Path reads traffic volume and engagement from your analytics and computes a continuous mode score from 0.0 (pure traffic-acquisition) to 1.0 (pure CRO). Engagement only counts once there is enough volume behind it — so a zero-audience site can never be dragged into "optimize mode."
Classify the zone
The score maps to a zone — traffic-acquisition, blended, or CRO. A Hermite smoothstep over a floor/ceiling band means a site hovering near a threshold does not flap from day to day. The result is cached on the site for 24 hours.
Bias what gets generated
Below the volume floor, CRO recommendation categories are hard-filtered out before Navigator ever ranks them — the platform stops proposing tests a site cannot run, and surfaces traffic and content work instead.
Re-rank and seed keywords
Surviving recommendations are re-weighted toward the site's mode, with smooth interpolation through the blend band. In traffic mode, when the keyword backlog runs dry, Flight Path auto-discovers fresh keywords from your services so the growth queue never empties.
The routing layer underneath every recommendation.
A dial, not a switch.
Flight Path scores sites on a smooth Traffic↔CRO continuum rather than bucketing them. Two normalized signals — traffic volume and volume-gated engagement — feed a smoothstep that resists noise, so the platform shifts emphasis gradually as a site grows instead of lurching between modes.
- Continuous mode score in [0.0, 1.0] — traffic, blended, or CRO
- Volume-gated engagement: low-audience sites can't fake readiness
- Smoothstep floor/ceiling bands prevent day-to-day flapping
- Recomputed every 24 hours and cached per site
Stops the tests that were never going to reach significance.
When a site sits below the traffic floor, CRO categories are filtered out at generation time — not buried at the bottom of a list, removed. Your queue fills with the traffic and content work that actually moves a quiet site, and CRO returns automatically the moment the numbers support it.
- CRO recommendation categories hard-filtered below the volume floor
- Traffic and keyword work floated to the top in traffic mode
- Mode-weighted re-ranking with smooth interpolation in the blend band
- CRO unlocks itself as traffic grows — no manual reconfiguration
A growth backlog that refills itself.
In traffic and blended mode, when your viable keyword backlog is depleted, Flight Path seeds new keywords from your own services and offerings and pushes them into the SEO Suite as auto-discovered reports — so a traffic-stage site is never out of things to rank for.
- Auto-discovers keywords from your services when the backlog runs dry
- Surfaced in the SEO Suite as auto-discovered reports
- Weekly cooldown keeps discovery cost-disciplined
- Feeds straight into rank tracking and on-page audits
You can always overrule the data.
A high-traffic site that still wants to push organic growth can tilt the engine toward traffic regardless of its score — and vice versa. Owners and admins set the bias with a slider on the Flight Deck; leave it untouched and the engine stays fully data-driven.
- Owner/admin override slider on the Flight Deck
- Tilt toward traffic or CRO independent of the computed score
- Per-site preference — set it once, it persists
- Unset = fully data-driven (the default)
Under the hood.
“We onboarded eleven new client sites in a quarter. Flight Path meant the brand-new ones got keyword and content work instead of A/B tests nobody could ever read — and the established ones went straight to CRO. We stopped wasting the first month on every account.”
Better together.
